Yes! I am a slow thinker
I’ve become a slow thinker.
Not in observing, I still judge and notice things quickly. But when it comes to thinking deeply, I take my time now.
It wasn’t always like this. Four years ago, I was fast, very fast. Fast enough to move from Level 4 to Level 7 in just two years in my corporate career.
But that speed came at a cost.
To think and operate like a machine, you need resources. For humans, those resources are time and energy, and they don’t come unlimited. When everything is pushed toward speed, something else gets neglected.
I was winning in my career, but slowly losing other parts of life.
So I changed.
Now, I think more slowly, even about career decisions. I focus on one thing at a time, with full attention. If something needs my time, it goes through a prioritization process on my terms.
As a result, I think about fewer things. But when I do, I go deep. The quality is better. The clarity is better.
Yes, I will miss opportunities. And yes, there’s still that fear of missing out.
But that’s okay.
It’s okay to be selective—especially when you’re living a more intentional, closed-loop life.
Cheers.
